D'autre part, les organisations professionnelles permettent de toucher par leur biais les fabricants et les distributeurs, tout comme les clients intéressés: le salon constitue donc un véritable point de rencontre pour la profession.

tecnoswiss is the joint association comprising the vast majority of Swiss companies operating in the areas of machine tools trading, wood processing machines trading and associated tools trading. The sales region of the association members is Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Most of the machines and tools are imported from all over the world but Swiss-made products are also distributed by tecnoswiss members. The tecnoswiss is affiliated to the umbrella association, VSIG (Vereinigung des Schweizerischen Import- und Grosshandels) in Basel. The purpose of the association is to further the business interests of trading in machinery and tools for metal and wood processing, to combat unfair competition, to organise trade fairs and, in general, to support legitimate forms of business.

Opinion leader in the sector
Swissmem represents the interests of almost 1,000 member companies in the Swiss machinery, electronics and metal industries towards authorities, associations and the public. It is involved in social, educational, research and business policy, promoting exports, business law and technical harmonisation. It provides information about the key issues in the MEM industry and is the nerve centre and initial contact point for anyone wishing to find out more about the largest Swiss export sector. Swissmem acts as a mediator between industry and the public. The aim of all activities is to improve the global competitiveness of Switzerland as a business centre. Swissmem officially supports the PRODEX exhibition platform.
